Filming In Death Valley

Written by: , November 22nd, 2015

Death Valley National Park has been a popular location to film movies and TV shows over the years. Located about 5 hours from Hollywood, it’s easily accessible to the major studios and provides one of the most unique landscapes in the world. Many popular films have been shot here including the original episode of the Star Wars epic (now known as Episode IV – A New Hope) released in 1977 and The Return of the Jedi released in 1983.

The Inn at Death Valley and The Ranch at Death Valley have provided accommodations for the actors and film crews during the filming of many of these movies or television shows. Many actors have returned again and again to enjoy the luxurious AAA Four Diamond, Inn at Death Valley for some necessary rest and relaxation after the filming has completed.

Below is a list of movies and TV shows in date order that have been filmed in Death Valley.
